Spencer Sacred Heart Run for the Son 5K/10K Race & 1-mile Fun Run

NEW FOR 2016: We're excited to announce a new 1-mile Fun Run! The Fun Run will focus on student participation, but is open to all. No need to pre-register; the $10 fee is good through race day.

The 6th Annual Run for the Son will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1111 4th Ave W in Spencer, Iowa. Event registration and race packet pickup begins the night before from 6:00-7:30 PM in the Parish Hall and continues on race morning at 6:30 AM. The 10K will begin at 7:30 AM and the 5K will begin at 7:45 AM, with the 1-mile Fun Run to follow (Fun Run participants please arrive by 7:45). Online Registration  •  Paper Registration

Registration for the 5K/10K is $25 until May 25th and includes an event shirt. After May 25th, late registration is $35 and shirts/sizes cannot be guaranteed. Registration for the 1-mile Fun Run is $10 through race day (no shirt included). For best results, we recommend online registration. If preferred, you may instead print a paper entry form, enclose a check payable to Sacred Heart, and mail to:

Awards & Divisions

Refreshments will be provided following the event. First place prizes will be awarded in each division. Overall male and female winners will also receive awards. Race divisions are as follows:

5K Men's & 5K Women's Divisions:
12 & under | 13-18 | 19-29 | 30-39 | 40-49 | 50-59 | 60 & over

10K Men's & 10K Women's Divisions:
18 & under | 19-29 | 30-39 | 40-49 | 50-59 | 60 & over

Walkers and noncompetitive runners are welcome and encouraged to participate!
